General Maintenance Worker

Sterling Automotive Group is hiring a General Maintenance Technician to help keep our dealerships running safely, efficiently, and looking their best.
This is a hands-on, multi-location role supporting our stores in Lafayette, Broussard, Maurice, Opelousas, and Jennings. If you like staying busy, working outdoors, and fixing things the right way, this is a great fit.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain dealership grounds including mowing, trimming, and general landscaping
- Perform light plumbing and electrical repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, outlets, and lighting
- Complete routine preventative maintenance across multiple locations
- Replace air filters, light bulbs, and handle minor facility repairs and light paint jobs
- Support seasonal and exterior upkeep (storm cleanup, pressure washing, etc.)
- Travel between dealership locations as needed using company vehicle
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and up to company standards
Qualifications & Job Requirements:
- Experience in general maintenance, facilities, or hands-on trade work
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Ability to use tools and equipment safely (hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment)
- Self-motivated and able to work independently without constant supervision
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors and outdoors
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must meet driving eligibility requirements (21+ or 3+ years driving experience)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Schedule: Full-time, may require occasional weekends as needed.
Pay: Depends on experience
