Vehicle Accessories Center Clerk
Sterling Automotive Group is hiring in Lafayette, LA! We’re looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals who take pride in serving the Acadiana community and being part of a successful, family-owned and operated business.
This is a fast-paced, multi-tasking role in our Accessories Center. The Accessories Clerk supports both customers and the Accessories Manager by handling accessory orders, assisting with customer inquiries, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet all customers promptly and professionally
- Answer and direct incoming calls using a multi-line phone system
- Schedule and confirm customer appointments
- Keep customers updated on vehicle status
- Process customer payments accurately
- Support the Accessories Manager with daily tasks
- Follow up with customers after service is completed
- Assist with customer or vehicle shuttling as needed
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments in all weather conditions
- Represent Sterling with courtesy, professionalism, and efficiency
Qualifications & Job Requirements:
- Basic automotive maintenance/parts knowledge required and dealership or service shop experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage time effectively
- Willingness to adapt and assist in various roles when needed
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, indoors and outdoors
- Must be coachable and team-oriented
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
- Must be 21 years of age OR have at least 3 full years of clean driving record
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check and drug screen
