Service Advisor Apprentice (Customer Experience Focus)
Sterling KIA in Lafayette, LA is looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our Service Team!
As a Service Advisor Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day communication flow of our Service Department. This position is heavily focused on answering incoming calls, scheduling service appointments, and keeping customers informed throughout the service process.
You’ll serve as a first point of contact for many of our customers while also supporting Service Advisors and learning the skills needed to grow into a full Service Advisor role.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of incoming calls for the Service Department
- Schedule service appointments accurately and efficiently
- Contact customers with updates on vehicle service status
- Answer customer questions and provide clear, professional communication
- Support Service Advisors by relaying messages and coordinating information between customers and technicians
- Assist customers in person as needed, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience
- Move vehicles on and off the premises as needed
- Perform vehicle walk-arounds, including alignment check process
- Provide shuttle rides for customers when required
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent Sterling Automotive Group with integrity and courtesy

- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old or have 3 full years of driving experience (insurance requirement)
- Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Schedule: Full-time Monday-Friday
Starting Pay: $15/hr
