Service Assistant

We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in serving Acadiana and being part of a successful family-owned and operated business.
As a Service Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our Service Department by assisting customers, moving vehicles on and off the premises, and helping ensure a smooth and efficient service process from start to finish. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, multitasking, and delivering exceptional customer service. This is an excellent starting point to grow into a Service Advisor!
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Move vehicles to and from designated areas on or off the premises
- Assist customers in the Service Department, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience
- Perform vehicle walk-arounds, including driving vehicles over the alignment check machine
- Provide shuttle rides for customers as needed
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with directing calls or answering customer questions
- Call customers with updates on vehicle service status
- Coordinate with Service Advisors and Technicians to relay accurate information
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent Sterling Automotive Group with integrity and courtesy
What We’re Looking For

- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and perform well under pressure
- Must be coachable and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old or have 3 full years of driving experience (due to insurance purposes)
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required
Schedule: Full-time Monday-Friday
