Sterling Automotive Group is seeking Lube & Tire Technicians who take pride in serving Acadiana and being a part of a successful family-owned and operated business!

As a Lube & Tire Technician, you will be responsible for performing essential vehicle maintenance services in our Service Department. Your technical skills and commitment to quality service will play a crucial role in retaining customers and supporting the growth of the dealership. This position is an excellent entry point for individuals aspiring to become Automotive Technicians.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform lube, oil, and filter changes, as well as tire rotations and installations, ensuring vehicles are serviced according to manufacturer specifications
  • Perform multi-point inspections on vehicles and diagnosing problems
  • Maintain high standards of service quality and efficiency, ensuring all work is completed to the highest level of technical competence
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues
  • Ongoing requirement to complete any mandatory training provided by the dealership, staying updated on automotive technologies and service techniques to enhance your skills and efficiency in the role

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

  • Some hands on experience performing basic vehicle maintenance is strongly preferred, and experience working in an automotive shop is a plus
  • The ideal candidate must be coachable, have strong communication skills, and be able to work well both with a team and independently
  • Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screen
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be at least 18 years of age due to insurance purposes
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required

Schedule: Full-time, includes some Saturdays
