Body Shop Technician

Sterling Collision Center - Opelousas, LA - Full Time

 Sterling Collision Center is seeking experienced Body Shop Technicians who take pride in serving Acadiana and being a part of a successful family-owned and operated business!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural or replacement repairs to all assigned vehicles
  • Restore assigned vehicles to pre-accident condition in accordance with industry standards and factory specifications
  • Make “repair or replace” decisions concerning safety, costs, and cycle time
  • Communicate and work closely with Body Shop Manager and Estimators on vehicle repair status
  • Ongoing requirement to complete any mandatory certifications and training provided by the dealership and stay up to date with new technology
  • Must follow all dealership and industry standard safety policies and procedures

Do you have what it takes? 

  • Must have two or more years of experience as a Body Shop Technician
  • Must be coachable, have strong communication skills, and be able to work well with others as well as independently
  • Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screen 
  • Required to have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be at least 21 years of age or have 3 full years of driving record
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
